2015!!!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday break!

Lessons will be starting up next week :) I am attaching the updated schedule for while I am student teaching. There are a few of you (mostly adults) who are not on this list yet. Don’t worry, I will be calling you. I think my awesome mentor teacher is going to make it available for me that I can come early on a couple of days a week so I can finish all my lessons at home during prep periods at school. YEAH!! It might have to be an every other week thing for a bit, I’m not quite sure, but I think I can make something work so I will call you :)  Thanks to all of you for being so patient while I finish this last semester of school. I really appreciate those of you who have been willing to switch days and times multiple times to accommodate my crazy schedule. It means a lot to me.  Attached is the new link, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate in calling me. Reminder to those who will be taking on their lunch hours. Make sure that they come straight to the practice room that is in between the band and choir rooms and I will be in there waiting. We can have lunch together :)

Thanks again!

Jen

Wow what an amazing evening we had last night in the Tabernacle. You all played beautifully and were so prepared. I truly have the best students ever! I'm so glad that McKaylas students could join us as well. What a great job they are doing.  Thank you everyone for all your hard work

Group lessons and spring recital

Thanks to all of you who came to group lessons this week. We learned about the importance of training our ears to listen to different things while we play or listen to music. Our ears are an important element while we are playing our instrument.

Our spring recital is coming up soon. It is on April 23 at Vista charter school in Ivins. We will be having the first recital at 6:30 and the second one at 7:15. I will keep you posted about which time to come.  If you are planning on playing with your child at this recital please make sure you are practicing with them. MIT is important when playing duets to practice with your partner frequently so you can be comfortable.

Thanks for everything you do!

FALL/WINTER RECITAL...

On November 15th we will be having our Solo Recital. It will be held at the Piano Gallery in Bloomington (located in the strip mall next to Wal-Mart).

Please encourage your kids to practice their recital pieces and to MEMORIZE them :)

There will be 2 recitals on this evening and I will let you know soon which time your child has been assigned to. If you have a preference of one of them let me know. I think the first one starts at 6 and the second one is at 7.

GROUP LESSONS!!! YEAH!

This week is group lessons. We will be learning about SOLFEGE! Please come on either Tuesday or Wednesday from 4-5. And yes treats will be served :)

Back to school!

I don't know about you but I am excited for school to be back in session. Just as a reminder though....summer schedule will continue till August 30th. So if you haven't gotten your six lessons in yet, there is still a little bit of time left. Starting the week after school we will start our school schedule with your different days and times. August 31 will start our Fall schedule. I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and kept practicing :) It will be fun to get back on a routine with everything (including practicing). I can't wait to get started!!! All of you are absolutely WONDERFUL!!
